We are seeking a suitably experienced person for a temporary local authority contract within SEND services. For this role, you will need to have experience of writing EHCP.
As a SEND Assessment Officer, you will coordinate and monitor casework where a child or young person is undergoing an Education Health & Care Needs Assessment across the 0-25yrs range, ensuring the timely and effective delivery of the EHC Needs assessment process for families across a range of schools/settings.
You will work with children, young people, and their parents, ensuring they are involved in the EHC Needs Assessment process and kept informed.
You will lead the assessment and planning process for families across schools and a range of service providers, including education, health, social care, and voluntary sectors, and will contribute to the quality assurance of Education, Health and Care (EHC) Plans.
To facilitate the role, you will be assigned a number of nurseries, schools, and Post 16 providers, including one or more special schools or units attached to mainstream schools.
