About Experience Education The Experience Education Student Travel Group is a collective of specialist brands dedicated to delivering exceptional and memorable travel experiences for schools and groups. Our specialist brands operate across 5 unique travel categories: curriculum tours; expeditions; ski trips; sports tours; and UK activity centres. The Role We are looking for a strong, well-rounded individual with high attention to detail and a keen commercial awareness to work closely with direct team members, other departments and their managers. This will include group airline booking administrative tasks and GDS use. There is a hybrid work pattern in place, with three days in the Brighton office and two days working from home. This position is also available on a part-time or term-time only basis. What you will be doing: Dealing with the administration of bookings, including the provision of names to airlines, the booking of ‘extras’ such as sports bags and skis, dealing with name changes and flight amendments, producing boarding passes. Monitor ticketing, payment and naming deadlines for all brands, liaising with the operations teams to ensure all deadlines are met in a timely manner. Issuing tickets and boarding passes for low-cost flights. Updating flight routes and actual costs within the in-house Travelink reservation system. Effectively manage the reclaiming of refunds due from airlines. Loading estimated flight costs for each season year on year. Continue assessing and challenging processes within the team to ensure department is working to the best of their capacity. Regularly checking airlines for any updates on check-in procedures, name changes and costs. What we are looking for: Excellent knowledge of MS Excel, good knowledge of Word and Outlook. Excellent communicator coupled with the ability to deal directly with our suppliers by email and phone in a professional manner. Ability to work under own initiative and to prioritise workload. Excellent organisation and administration skills. High level of numeracy and accuracy ensuring attention to detail. Ability to work well under pressure. Desire to meet and where possible beat deadlines. Strive to provide an excellent service to the client and all internal departments. Experience using Amadeus or similar GDS would be an advantage, however not essential as training will be given.
