We are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for a 12 month secondment Band 7 Senior Sister/Charge Nurse within Surgery, to cover our Trauma and Orthopaedic Ward.
This is a 34 bed, fast paced ward that requires a motivated and dynamic individual with a keen interest in patient experience, and a positive and progressive outlook, to guide our team as well as motivate, empower and support them on a day-to-day basis.
You will be a credible role model with excellent communication skills and a keen focus on compassionate care and effective leadership, whilst always maintaining a flexible and responsive approach.
Ideally you will have a knowledge and passion for orthopaedics, but this not essential as we are looking for an enthusiastic leader who will maintain our key performance indicators, patient quality and experience standards and improvement programs, moving this fantastic ward to accreditation.

This will be an opportunity to develop or consolidate your leadership knowledge and skills, in all aspects of the running of this busy acute environment. It is anticipated that permanent recruitment will take place at the end of the 12-month substantive position.
Candidates are welcome from current Band 6 or above nurses who are interested in furthering their careers in this rapid, but rewarding environment.
