Full Time Support Workers required!
Salary: £26,674.40 per annum (£13.85 per hour) 31 days paid annual leave including bank holidays
Location: North London (Islington/Camden)
Hours: Full-time - 37 hours per week
Please note evenings, weekend and bank holiday work may be required.

As a Support Worker, you will provide support to service users to ensure their safety, health and wellbeing as well as:
1. Ensure service users' integration and participation in their local community
2. Assist with developing a range of friendships and relationships
3. Ensure service users have informed personal choice
4. Assist service users to maximise their range of skills and competencies
5. Boost service users' confidence and self-esteem
6. Offer person-centred support to service users in line with their individual and cultural preferences, day to day and long-term needs; including but not limited to social and leisure activities, health needs and appointments, personal care and domestic duties.
7. Include service users in day-to-day and long-term decision making
8. Work within a multidisciplinary team
9. Act as a keyworker to individual service users.
10. Keep accurate and up to date records and reports in relation to service users, in line with the systems and procedures in place at the project.
11. Take responsibility for shift leading as and when needed.
Personal specification:
1. Willing and able to offer physical support to service users including personal care and manual handling
2. Aware of issues affecting people with learning disabilities
3. Excellent oral and written communication skills
4. The ability to work and contribute within a team
5. The ability to work unsupervised and on own initiative
6. Enthusiastic and motivated
7. Preferred: PBS (Positive Behaviour Support) experience
