We are a community business with charitable status that supports adults with disabilities to develop new skills in a workshop environment.
We are seeking a detail-orientated and proactive Financial Administrator to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our office by providing administrative support, managing office and other resources, and maintaining effective communication within the team.
This role requires strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Proven experience and proficiency with Sage 50 Accounting Software and MS Office applications (Excel, Word etc.) required.
Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:
* Maintenance of accurate financial records and ensuring timely processing of invoices, payments, and receipts.
* Preparation of monthly financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
* Assistance in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts to support strategic planning.
* Conducting regular audits of financial processes to ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements of the Financial Conduct Authority.
* Liaison with external auditors during annual audits and provision of necessary documentation as required.
* Management of payroll processing using the on-line portal provided by our payroll company, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of payroll production and ensuring all employee records are up to date.
* Ensuring compliance with all legal responsibilities of the organisation across the board.
* Carrying out day to day administrative tasks.
* Maintenance of staff holidays and sickness records.
* Management of the organisation's petty cash and banking.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £11.87-£13.44 per hour
Expected hours: 15 per week
