Technical Lead Our client, a Salisbury based IT company, are looking to recruit a new technical lead to head up the IT engineering side of the business. This is not the normal 9-5 job. A well-established company, most of the customers are Salisbury based, but as the business is growing they are supporting businesses across the South. The Technical Lead is a hybrid role and involves both office work and customer site project work, as such it is a varied and challenging role. There is a wide variation of deployments and customer environments. They are a customer focused business, looking to ensure that the end users get the best possible experience form their hardware, installations and support. To this end the successful applicant will need to have excellent computer engineering skills, and also great people management skills. Key Requirements: Excellent communication skills as this is a customer facing role. Great leadership skills, to manage and assist the rest of the team. Time management and logistics. OS and Virtualisation Hardware deployment and support. Pricing and contract negation. Cloud and Networking VLAN,Qos,VPN,DNS (Sophos experience preferred) Mail and Data migrations Office 365,share point. Customer and supplier contract experience. Experience with Mitel Phone systems Hosted Cloud Cisco and Broadworks. Degree in Computer Science or relevant experience working in a similar environment. Experienced working in a busy 100 user network including remote sites/users. Key competencies: At least 3 years working in a similar role, in MSP or End user IT department. A genuine interest in and enthusiasm for business technology. An ability to empathise with customers and build lasting relationships Salary and package are commensurate with the level of skills and experience of candidate. Circa £65-85k p.a
