We're looking for a Project Engineer to join our Anglian Water team based in Lincoln.
Location: Lincoln, Lincolnshire
Hours: 45 hours per week
The Integrated Operational Solutions (IOS) alliance is part of Anglian Water's network that concentrates on water recycling solutions on the clean water base covering Mechanical, Electrical and Civil Engineering. The maintenance and refurbishment of the key infrastructure is managed by the partners (Kier, Barhale & Morrisons) who ensure everything is maintained and improvements are made where necessary to ensure the infrastructure's longevity and effectiveness.
To ensure water and water recycling projects in the East Anglia area are managed successfully from inception to completion, we are looking for a Project Engineer with a mechanical and/or electrical background.
What will you be responsible for?
As a Project Engineer, you'll receive planned and reactive project needs from Anglian Water. You'll drive the development of solutions with a focus on the whole life cost and business risk reduction while ensuring compliance with all required standards and regulations. This is a fast-paced and dynamic role where you can add value across the business and to your career aspirations.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
* Supporting the operational/project delivery manager in the delivery of project needs.
* Assessing solutions and completing root cause analysis with consideration to whole life cost and business risk reduction using the Risk, Opportunity and Value process.
* Developing solutions in line with corporate governance processes, technical/safety standards, and legal requirements.
* Ensuring all enabling, including design, programme, cost, and CDM requirements, are completed ready for construction handover.
* Completing and complying with all operational site Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality requirements to ensure safe working practices.
* Supporting the capture of assets and costs in the relevant corporate systems.
What are we looking for?
This role of Project Engineer is ideal for you if you hold:
* An engineering degree or equivalent along with APM project management (PMQ) or PRINCE2.
* Experience in capital delivery within the water sector with a key focus on directly employed staff delivering projects.
* Management of the Construction Design Management (CDM) regulations.
* Commercial awareness working with multiple stakeholders and excellent knowledge and experience in customer management as well as with our external stakeholders.
* A full driving licence.
