About the Role
As a Qualified Outreach Tutor, you will work closely with students to help them overcome academic challenges and achieve their goals. You will play a key role in supporting children with additional needs, adapting your teaching methods to create a nurturing, inclusive environment. Your ability to connect with learners and develop tailored lesson plans will make a real difference in their educational journey.
This flexible role allows you to work part-time hours that suit your schedule, whether in the mornings, afternoons, or evenings.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver one-to-one tutoring in Maths or English, tailored to each student's unique needs.
* Design and implement engaging, student-centred lesson plans to address learning gaps.
* Support students with SEN, using a compassionate and adaptable teaching approach.
* Monitor student progress, providing regular feedback to parents, guardians, and relevant stakeholders.
* Foster a supportive and motivating learning environment that encourages academic and personal growth.
Requirements
* Experience teaching Maths or English (minimum of 1 year in a teaching or tutoring capacity).
* Right to work in the UK.
* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undertake one).
Desired Qualities
* SEN experience (highly desirable).
* A PGCE in Maths or English or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage students and collaborate effectively with families.
* A patient, nurturing, and adaptable teaching style.
