Randstad Construction & Property are working on behalf of a National Facilities Management company to find an experienced and collaborative Fabric Engineer to join their team in Edinburgh. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out PPMs and reactive maintenance across commercial sites.
Location: Edinburgh (mobile)
Salary: Competitive (up to 30,000 depending on experience)
Employment type: Full-time, permanent, Monday-Friday

An average day will include the following:
* Responding to reactive works within the team
* Ensuring maintenance tasks are completed within agreed timescales
* Liaising with Clients' representatives regarding maintenance & repair tasks
* Undertaking site surveys & producing Works Requests, Method Statements & Risk Assessments for planned works
* Repairing floor and wall coverings
* Managing ceiling tile repairs and replacements
* Handling other building and installation works as required
* Being accountable for lighting, general lamp changes, filter changes for AHUs / FCUs, and basic plumbing requirements
* Completing reactive, PPM jobs & projects in a timely manner
* Undertaking minor project works
An ideal candidate will have:
* Previous Fabric and Carpentry experience
* Experience working in a high-profile work environment
* City & Guilds or NVQ Equivalent in carpentry
* PC literacy
* Good customer relationship skills
* Ability to understand and interpret technical drawings/instructions/processes
* Organizational skills to manage assigned tasks and determine material requirements
* Experience with H & S procedures & requirements, including COSHH, Working at Heights, Risk Assessment, etc.
