Description Wood Process & Energy is recruiting a Project Engineer to join us on a Staff basis. The role will be based on a client site in Ware and would welcome applications from candidates with a strong background in Pharmaceuticals or FMCG. You will be supporting the CapEx delivery of equipment and facilities on a site undergoing consistent and varied investment. Wood is recruiting for a Project Engineer to support the delivery of engineering capital projects based at our client site in Ware, England This is a site-based, both contractor and permanent staff positions working at the client's operating facility. Project Deliverables: Work with sub-contractors to design, build, commission, and validate equipment and facilities, supporting the Project Manager Coordinate a series of activities performed by engineers, designers, and others from multiple engineering disciplines to support the timely issuing of engineering deliverables to meet project specifications. Ensure engineering disciplines comply with all applicable quality and HSE requirements in preparation of deliverables Ensure accurate and timely delivery of work and resolve minor delays and changes to the satisfaction of both internal and external customers. Alerts Project Manager in the event of risk, delays or change; revises scope and supports implementation of approved changes to support project delivery to cost, time, and quality. Coordinates and assures technical excellence of interdisciplinary project deliverables Prepares project plans and multi-discipline documents such as basis of design, and subcontract scopes of work. Coordinate inputs to and issue engineering deliverables such as Designs, Reports etc, ensuring accuracy and timeliness and gaining approval from stakeholders Execute assigned project scope in accordance with the project engineering manhour budget and schedule requirements Coordinate engineering activities performed by others Support the construction team through the construction phase to ensure the installation meets the design With this role being based on a pharmaceutical site, there will also be an expectation to conduct validation activities for equipment, including: Organise validation activities to provide an effective validation service. Present & justify validation scope and documents Review and approve documentation and reports supporting the validation exercise Ensure that both team and key stakeholders are kept informed of changes to validation requirements Plan validation activities to ensure customer and business needs are met in alignment with the overall project plans and objectives Conduct formal GMP reviews during the concept, scheme and detailed design phases Risk Assessment for GMP Systems Design Qualification (with Traceability Matrix) for GxP Systems Review of FAT protocols and FAT witness Review of Vendors’ SAT protocols Preparation of Commissioning protocols for installed systems Preparation and execution of IQ/OQ protocols for validated systems Raising and co-ordinating engineering change controls for equipment and facility modifications Review of IQ/OQ protocols prepared by equipment Vendors Coordination/witness to SAT/Commissioning tests executed by Vendors/Contractors Review of executed SAT/Commissioning protocols Coordination/witness/execute IQ/OQ tests by/with Vendors/Contractors Review of the executed IQ/OQ protocols Work in conjunction with the QA Validation Leader to get documents approved promptly Join a culture of innovation, pushing the boundaries of what is possible to seek the best solutions for our clients.
