We are looking for someone with excellent customer service skills, enjoys working in a pressurised environment, has good attention to detail and thrives in providing the best outcomes for children and young people in Bristol. The responsibilities of the Placements Officer include: 1. Source and negotiate complex packages of care that meet the needs of the child and offer value for money. 2. Work in a busy and challenging environment with responsibility for the duty desk and prioritising of new referrals. 3. To manage a caseload of placement searches to ensure that appropriate placements are made in a timely way. 4. Present options appraisal and write reports to head of service and service director to gain authorisation of placements. 5. Maintain case records of placement searches and general administration related to departmental policies and procedures 6. Quality assure and scrutinise referrals. To offer challenge where appropriate to ensure high quality information is sent to potential providers to maximise the opportunity to find a well-matched placement.
