We have an excellent opportunity within our stores and procurement team and are looking for a team member who has experience of supervising staff and some basic knowledge of the procurement process that we can develop.
The post holder will be involved in the supervision of a team of Pharmacy Assistants on both the Fairfield General Hospital and Rochdale Infirmary sites.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will also play a key role in the procurement process, which will involve placing daily orders, sourcing new items, and ensuring the medication is received into the computer system accurately.
To undertake this role, you must be able to supervise staff on a day-to-day basis, work accurately under pressure, have a good eye for detail, be able to prioritise your workload, meet deadlines, and be committed to the delivery of high standards in a patient-focused service.
You will need knowledge and experience of stock control systems and hold a level 2 NVQ in Pharmacy Services and 4 GCSE's including English and Maths.
You will also participate in full dispensary duties.

Qualifications
* NVQ2 level 2 or equivalent in Pharmacy Services
* Minimum of 4 GCSE's at grade 4 or above.
Knowledge, training and Experience
* Previous experience of stock control systems
* Supervisory experience
* Purchasing experience
* Training / mentoring experience
* Understanding of procurement, distribution and stock control systems
* Working in a hospital or community pharmacy
* Knowledge of automated systems
Skills and abilities
* Good organisational and communication skills
* Awareness of the range of duties of the post
* Able to work quickly and accurately under pressure
