Murphy is currently recruiting for a Site Engineer to join our award-winning Energy team on the SSE ASTI Framework North of Inverness. Our team is known for its extensive in-house expertise and continual drive to innovate within the industry. The Site Engineer will provide the project with accurate, informed interpretation of the specified project technical requirements as well as providing support to the project management and site team on all matters technical across the project.
Following the ‘One Murphy’ approach, we’re able to deliver all aspects of the projects we work on. Murphy has designed, constructed, and commissioned projects for clients such as National Grid, SSE and Ørsted, on both transmission and distribution networks within the Energy sector.
What you will be doing:
* Accurate setting out of the works and dimensional control.
* Resolving technical problems at all levels.
* Carry out inspections in accordance with the Inspection and Test Plan in a timely manner.
* The production of survey information and red-lined drawings for the completion of the As-built records.
* Ensure equipment is calibrated, in date and suitable checked in accordance with company policies and the manufacturers’ defined requirements.
* Ensure construction operations are carried out in accordance with the Contract requirements using the appropriate procedures.
* Ensure all site personnel have clear, accurate and appropriate information to carry out their duties.
* Supervises the outputs and confirms that the project environmental requirements are met.
* Ensure all materials on site are suitable, stored in line with manufacturer’s recommendations current working practice, contract specification or project requirements.
* Assist the Site Management team to update KPI’s, material reconciliation and progress reports.
Who we are looking for:
* Degree qualified Civil Engineering or Similar
* Previous experience within an Engineer role
* Experience on Construction or Civil Engineering projects.
* Experienced in surveying and setting out techniques
* Sound understanding of Quality, Safety, Health, Environmental and Sustainability project requirements.
