Job Responsibilities:
1. Perform mid to expert level break-fix & preventative maintenance, including but not limited to:
1. Observing devices in operation to locate the root cause of problems
2. Dismantling devices to gain access to and remove defective parts
3. Examining parts to detect imperfections
4. Adjusting functional parts of devices and control instruments
5. Repairing and/or replacing defective parts
6. Testing devices to observe performance
7. Performing tests for electrical circuitry and mechanical systems
8. Reconditioning and repairing machine tools
2. Identify and source parts, supplies, and repair items as necessary.
3. Independently perform maintenance as per industry standards.
4. Setup and operate multiple machining operations including but not limited to: lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metal working tools to make and repair parts. May perform welding tasks. Comply with 5S and housekeeping standards.
5. Drive and participate in Continuous Improvement (CI) activities - processes, results, and cost savings.
6. Update records and review CMMS history.
7. Troubleshoot and analyze control systems to resolve software/hardware and configuration problems.
8. Utilize predictive maintenance technologies to collect equipment performance data.
9. Provide assistance to lower level technicians and leadership to small teams. Perform more advanced functions as part of training and development.
10. Complete on-the-job and technical self-study programs for career development.
11. Follow all safety-related policies, rules, regulations, technical instructions, and guidelines. Maintain situational awareness and identify unsafe behaviors and conditions.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Three or more years of related experience in general industry; or equivalent combination of relevant training and experience.
2. Understanding of electrical, mechanical, fluid power, and control systems. Ability to analyze problems and perform repairs.
3. Proficiency in using basic hand tools and specialized tools as appropriate.
4. May be required to travel.
5. High degree of professionalism and commitment to confidentiality.
6. Ability to perform multiple projects simultaneously.
7. Excellent communication, people skills, and good organizational skills.
8. Ability to work well under pressure.
