Property Services Manager (Compliance)

An exciting opportunity has arisen with Ocean Housing Group for a permanent, full time, Property Services Manager within our Property Services team.
With an emphasis on Compliance, you will ensure that we are fully compliant with regulatory requirements and ensure that we maintain accreditation for all M&E regulatory bodies (including Gas Safe, NICEIC, Oftec, HETAS, MCS, PAS 20/30). You’ll oversee compliance on all Property Services functions including gas installations, servicing and repairs, electrical safety, fire safety, building safety, legionella, asbestos, and lifts, monitoring to ensure that we adhere to strict legislation and best practice. You’ll develop procedures for all compliance service developments and improvements and will analyse and manage performance across all compliance functions to make recommendations for continuous improvement. With a keen eye for detail, you will prepare and present monthly reports, detailing progress on all work areas and highlighting the finance and budgets of projects and services managed by the team. As a hands-on Manager, you will lead from the front, providing support and guidance to individuals and encouraging their own development within their role, ensuring the team has the resources to meet their objectives and understand the importance of providing quality and customer-focused services. You’ll be available to manage out of hours emergencies, liaising with customers and contractors to resolve issues quickly and efficiently, whilst ensuring all works are completed to our high standards.
With extensive senior management experience in a property maintenance or construction management role, you will have knowledge of IEE wiring regulations (18th edition) and Gas Safety (installation and use) regulations 1998, CAR 2012 and CDM 2015 regulations, as well as an understanding of the Fire Safety Act and Building Safety Act and legionella and asbestos legislation. You’ll be accustomed to identifying and enabling service improvements and be able to improve services and team performance, whilst maintaining budgets and delivering projects on time. A confident communicator, you will feel at ease liaising with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure all objectives are met and improvements are identified for the future.
