Duties and Responsibilities
* Deliver ABL Health's adult/family weight management programme including nutrition, behaviour change and exercise delivery to groups and through one-to-ones, in the community and through digital methods such as zoom/phone appointments.
* Lead on the delivery of multi-disciplinary assessments working closely with ABL's GP and Psychotherapist to determine an appropriate, person-centred care plan.
* Deliver evidence-based education around nutrition, physical activity, and behavioural change as advised by ABL Health team and in line with ABL Health programme curriculums.
* Deliver programmes with a client-centred approach using skills of positive psychology and motivational interviewing.
* Monitor clients' progress through regular consultation and with the use of Microsoft Excel, identifying specific treatment for those not on track to achieve their goals.
* Assess and support eligible clients in your caseload to receive a referral to tier 4 for bariatric surgery, remaining up to date with NICE guidance at all times.
* Work with clients and stakeholders to co-produce in-session materials.
* Contribute to the contract performance report by submitting regular case studies to the project lead.
* Contribute to and support ABL Health's social media pages.
* Contribute to training and support new staff and volunteers.
* Work with individuals and groups using SMART goal setting.
* Keep detailed files, recording data accurately, ensuring all forms and other documentation is completed correctly.
* Undertake and complete all mandatory and additional skills training as required.
* Have a thorough understanding of ABL Health policies and procedures.
* Engage and recruit potential clients at promotional and community events.
* Develop curriculum resources to be signed off by the service development team and utilised in projects.
* Contribute to ongoing service development needs.
* Build community links and partnership working to encourage new referrals into the service and maintain close working relationships with other community services. Present service and referral pathway information at stakeholder meetings as directed by the project lead.
* Attend and actively participate in team and wider company meetings, such as MDT.

Person Specification
Experience
* Experience of working with Adults or Children and Young People and facilitating 1:1 and group workshops in an age-appropriate and engaging manner.
* Experience of delivering groups and/or one-to-one behaviour change.
* Experience of delivering health promotion/public health interventions in community settings.
* Experience working with hard-to-reach groups and tackling health inequalities.
* Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team.
* Experience of building professional relationships.
* Experience of delivering groups and/or one-to-one specialist weight management interventions to children, young people, and adults.
* Experience of planning and delivering appropriate health interventions specific to individual requirements.
* Experience of delivering health/weight interventions to children and young people.
Qualifications
* Educated to degree level or relevant equivalent experience.
* CIMSPA (previously REPS) qualified Level 2 Gym instructor/Group exercise award or equivalent.
* Registration with CIMSPA (this can be obtained within 6 months of employment).
* Sports Coaching qualification.
* Degree in nutrition and/or eligible to be registered as an associate or full member of the UK Voluntary Register of Nutritionists or degree in exercise, psychology, public health, health improvement, or other health-related field.
* REPS qualified Level 3 award of GP/Exercise Referral or equivalent (willingness to be trained within 4 months of starting).
Skills and Knowledge
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly with people.
* Excellent administration, record keeping, and data collection skills.
* IT literate, preferably with experience using Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, Outlook).
* Excellent time management and organisational skills.

* The ability to travel independently across Sandwell.
