Newly Qualified Counsellor Required: Southport, Merseyside

We are currently recruiting for a newly qualified level 4 Counsellor to be our Triage Assessor at MCL Medics; an established, experienced, and trusted Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) provider.
Contract: Permanent, 5 days a week
Location: Southport
Main Objectives
The EAP Team is currently seeking a full-time qualified counsellor to work at our head office in Southport. As an EAP Triage Assessor, you will assess clients by phone, book client appointments, send and receive correspondence, and ensure all our data systems are fully updated.
Key Responsibilities
* Speak to clients daily, assess them, arrange appointments, and support the internal EAP team.
* Maintain a calm and empathetic manner as the first point of contact for clients.
* Utilize excellent keyboard skills to make accurate notes.
* Experience in dealing with incoming calls will be an advantage.
Essential Qualifications
* Must have completed and passed a minimum of level 4 in Counselling.
* Must have over 100 counselling hours.
Experience
* EAP experience would be an advantage.
* Mental Health experience.
* Team player with a commitment to client confidentiality.
* Excellent telephone manner.
* Strong administration and computer skills, particularly in handling and processing client data.
* Experience in a client administration or service delivery signposting role.
* Strong empathy and listening skills.
