If the answer to these questions is yes, then read on.\n\nThe roleteam \nWed love you to come and join us here in the Metadata & Compliance team – a\npart of the Finance Business Unit Data Office (BUDO) within the Finance Data &\nAnalytics Office!\n\nThe Metadata & Compliance Team manages Data Quality Rules, Metadata and Data\nLineage for the Finance Business Unit. \n \nThe role will involve engaging and closely collaborating with our diverse\ngroup of partners across Finance and the wider organisation, to bring them on\nthe journey of understanding our most important processes and ensure that Data\nQuality is effectively monitored and managed and Metadata is appropriately\ndocumented.
\n \nMetadata enables us to build Data Lineage – a map of how our data flows\nthrough our systems and what data is consumed at each step, which gives the\nFinance Business Unit confidence that we understand where our most important\ndata comes from and how it is controlled and allows us to apply effective Data\nQuality Rules over this data, to ensure its quality end-to-end. \n \nYou’ll work with many different teams across Finance and other areas, such as\nour Central Data & Analytics Office (CD), 2nd line Risk functions and\nGroup Internal Audit. \n \nYou’ll help make FDAO a fantastic place to work!
You will help drive our\nagenda on inclusion, growth and making FD a great and fun place to work!\nThere’ll be lots of opportunities for you to get involved, be seen and to make\na real difference.\n\n \nThrough all of this, the underpinning thread is your role in Helping Britain\nProsper.\n\nKey responsibilities\n\n * Managing Data Quality Rules in our strategic profiling and Data Quality Rules tool – Ataccama.\n\n * Seeking out new data sources and obtaining data to feed into our Data Quality monitoring processes.\n\n * Building new data feeds and Data Quality rulesets into our instance of Ataccama, to ensure we have coverage across our key processes.\n\n * Managing Metadata and Data Lineage in our strategic metadata repository tool – Collibra.\n\n * Partnering and developing relationships with key people and teams across Finance and other business teams to understand their processes and data for inclusion in our processes.\n\n * Supporting our operational processes around Data Quality Controls, Data Quality Rules, periodic reviews of our Metadata, reviewing inbound change impacts and more.\n\n * Creating and delivering reporting information for our key data forums and senior management.\n\n * Ensure continued compliance to BCBS239 and our Group Data Policy.\n\nAbout us\n\nWe’re on an exciting journey to transform our Group and the way we’re shaping\nfinance for good. We’re focusing on the future, investing in our technologies,\nworkplaces, and colleagues to make our Group a great place for everyone.\nIncluding you.\n\nWhat you’ll need\n\n * Strong people management and communication skills, both written and verbal including creating and delivering presentations to tell compelling stories.\n\n * Can work collaboratively with a diverse group of partners and take them on the journey as Finance and the Group as a whole move forwards with our Data Management strategy.\n\n * Understands the value of data, data quality, policies and procedures and can analyse, capture and help build Data Quality assurance over data.\n\n * A strong track record of delivery and understands how the Group delivers change and the importance of continuous improvement against a constantly evolving landscape.\n\n * Can deliver at pace using agile methodologies.\n\n * Can analyse and interpret data and manage the efficient and effective production of information.\n\n * The ability to prioritise tasks and manage their time effectively to meet deadlines and achieve goals.\n\nAnd any experience of these would be really useful\n\n * Data Management tools, such as Ataccama or Collibra.\n\n * Tableau or Power BI reporting tools.\n\n * Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint.\n\n * Change delivery, including traditional and agile methodologies.\n\nAbout working for us\n\nOur focus is to ensure we’re inclusive every day, building an organisation\nthat reflects modern society and celebrates diversity in all its forms.
