What the Job Involves As a Youth Justice Case Manager, you will be part of Sefton’s Youth Justice Service, collaborating with partners to support children in Sefton and keep them safe. Your role involves managing a complex caseload, coordinating interventions and support for children, including those under Multi Agency Public Protection Arrangements (MAPPA). You will assess children's needs, risks of reoffending, and ensure delivery of supportive services. You will be responsible for decision-making and preparing reports for panels and courts. You will also be accountable for developing and evaluating intervention plans, working collaboratively with council and partnership colleagues, engaging in direct work with children and families, and using theoretical knowledge to influence plans. Part of your responsibilities includes promoting learning through reviews, participating in the office duty rota, ensuring data compliance, and supporting service development. The role requires flexibility with some evening and weekend work connected to court services and home visits.
