The Role Reporting to the International Operations manager, the successful candidate will be required to support both International & Industrial order requirements, such as: Checking Quote to Order Scheduling of the order Manage delivery to customer expectations Documentary Credits The role requires a high degree of accuracy, organisation and the ability to work under pressure from customers. Good communication skills are essential as the successful candidate will converse daily with partners and customers internationally. A good understanding of international payment methods and processes including Letters of Credit would be advantageous for the advertised role, but not essential as training would be provided. Responsibilities Order Checking from quote to order confirmation Accurate and efficient order progressing and setting schedules for delivery. Delivery scheduling, coordinating with manufacturing and procurement teams to ensure satisfactory progress throughout production Liaising with warehouse & freight forwarders to arrange sea/road/air shipment of orders to the Middle East, Europe and Rest of the World. Generating all paperwork required for customs clearance both in the UK & destination country Keeping regional distributors and customers fully informed on order status. Accurate and efficient processing of documentary credits when required. Keeping up to date with export logistics requirements in relation to Brexit Daily Booking on for Estimating team Further assistance for Estimating team where required Work in a manner to achieve the company “Core Values” – Customer, Innovation, Quality and People. Skills & Competencies Excellent communication and customer service skills Excellent organisational skills Initiative to identify continuous improvement in the role Previous experience in an international logistics role Team player with a strong emphasis on customer service and accuracy. Excellent communication skills conversing confidently with many nationalities throughout the world and dealing with customers at all levels. Must have a proactive approach to work and the ability to organise and prioritise workload.
