We are looking for a Band 3 Nursing Assistant to join the friendly Day Case team. The unit is rapidly expanding, caring for patients undergoing a variety of gastroenterology & hepatology day case procedures and ambulatory care requiring infusions for Inflammatory Bowel Disorders, blood transfusions and other interventions suitable for daily admissions. The role would include working alongside a multidisciplinary team, providing high quality, patient centred care to a wide range of patients. The successful candidate would need to be motivated, organised and possess outstanding communication skills. Candidates should enjoy working in a team environment, work well under pressure and have a flexible approach to work. We are currently open Monday to Friday.

As a member of the team in this enhanced role support and work closely with registered practitioners to deliver a high standard of care to patients, families and their carers in a safe and supportive environment
without the need for direct supervision. To work as part of the wider team in developing and maintaining
services provided to patients and contribute to the safe, efficient and smooth running of the department. This will be undertaken whilst maintaining the dignity and privacy of all patients and
respect their right to confidentiality.
To complete and maintain on an ongoing basis a generic and specific portfolio of clinical competencies and/or care certificate as required. To be motivated in order to review progress with Manager at regular
intervals through the appraisal process. Understand own level of responsibility, scope of practice and accountability and at all times act within own capabilities.
