As Head of HSEQ, you will have a pivotal role in delivering and maintaining a robust HSEQ performance regime company wide. Leading on all aspects of HSEQ performance, you will be responsible for ensuring continuous improvement to in-house standards, systems and procedures, implementing legislative compliance and best practices across the Companys multidisciplinary teams. Main Duties & Responsibilities: Deliver and maintain a HSEQ change programme to embed and develop a positive culture across the organisation. Drive and improve employee engagement within the organisation on all health, safety, environment and quality matters, to all levels of employees within the business, meeting legal responsibilities, maintaining certifications and promoting best practice. Engage, support and positively influence directors, managers and first line supervisors to create and maintain a vibrant health and safety n culture and support them to discharge their responsibilities for health, safety and environmental of employees and others to whom they have a duty as defined by legislation and Company procedures. Lead with purpose the implementation of initiatives, campaigns and new processes to drive continual improvement of safety, health, environment and quality in the Company. Develop and use metrics to measure and drive improvement in the business. Set Key Performance Indictors (KPIs) and targets for the HSEQ team and present the teams progress to Executive Team. Develop, review and update all safety, health, environmental and quality strategies, policies, procedures and documentation, ensuring they comply with the requirements of ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO45001 standards as well as relevant regional legislation and standards. Lead and manage the certification process for ISO9001 (compliant), ISO14001 (applying) and ISO45001 (applying) standards. Lead all surveillance and certification audits. Keep up to date with new legislation and maintain a working knowledge of all legislation, polices and procedures, technical standards and codes of practice that affect the business. Manage and lead all incident investigations, ensuring investigations produced are of sufficient quality and within prescribed timescales. Monitor the quality and effectiveness of reports, ensuring root causes are established, corrective actions and recommendations have been fully implemented to avoid recurrencies and management controls remain effective. Lead an effective inspection and internal audit plan, ensuring that the HSEQ team carries out sufficient levels of site inspections and internal audits of processes. Monitor and track inspection and audit information to look for trends and compliance with HSEQ management systems. Take appropriate action where areas of potential issue are identified. Provide direct leadership to the companys HSEQ team. Maintain and publish a calendar of key safety activities and regulatory inspection dates. Develop, monitor and report on annual budgets for HSEQ. Provide input into prequalification and tender submissions. Prepare regular reports on operational HSEQ performance. Support validation and approval of subcontractors pre-qualification checks and support subcontractor onboarding. Liaise with external bodies including the HSE, OSHA, Environmental Offices, Councils, contractors, fire service and other regulatory and professional stakeholders. Prepare and present at Client forums. Support the Company Mental Health and Wellbeing programme. Role Requirements: NEBOSH qualification (or equivalent) Level 6 in Occupational Safety and Health ISO Internal Auditor (desirable) 10 years experience in an operational HSEQ role, preferably in a manufacturing environment, with minimum 5 years in a senior HSEQ role. Thorough knowledge and understanding of applicable ISO and/or OSHA standards. Full understanding of legal HSE policy and guidelines Ability to translate strategic goals into objectives and pragmatic plans for the business. A natural leadership style with the ability to motivate, inspire and drive a culture of continuous improvement and accountability whilst being willing to adopt a sleeves rolled up approach when necessary. Commitment to lead in line with Company Vision, Values & Behaviours Team-oriented yet assertive character with decisive leadership skills and problem-solving abilities under pressure. Strong inter-personal and communication skills (both verbal and written) Proven analytic, planning and organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
