We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled and motivated Yard Operative to join our busy Waste Recovery team. Lindum Waste Recovery is a vital division which assists the business and helps to ensure our sites operate seamlessly. Our Waste Recovery reclaims and recycles construction and demolition waste at a range of sites, upholds our sustainability duties by diverting as much waste as possible from landfill, as well as reducing our site’s waste disposal costs. We offer skip hire and waste recycling facilities for domestic and commercial customers. The successful Yard Operative will be working within our busy yard team, will be expected to report to our Yard Supervisor, and provide help with all general yard operative duties as required.
Roles and responsibilities
You will be responsible for a variety of yard duties and other activities including (but not limited to):
1. Keeping the waste facility safe and tidy
2. Sorting pvc waste received on site
3. Assisting in the metal recycling shed
4. Picking 6F5 aggregates
5. Working on the picking line
6. Maintenance tasks as required
7. Driving and operating of Yard loading shovel machinery
8. Identifying and handling asbestos
9. Banksman duties
10. Other General Daily Duties.
This role is full-time (42.5 hours a week), Monday to Friday, 7:30am-4:30pm, and will be based at our Saxilby Site. Salary will commensurate with experience. Driving licence required
