Furniture Assembly Operative, Woodwork, Tools, Stoke to £22,500
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Furniture Assembly Operative to join one of the world leading leisure and manufacturing brands. They are looking for a Furniture Operative to work within a team to effectively manufacture casino furniture and support the Team Leader to ensure products are to the required quality standards and delivered on time.
Responsibilities and Duties
* General understanding of drawings and assembly instructions
* Knowledge of wood, MDF, plywood, metal and textile component assembly
* High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
* Manufacture and assembly of high-quality products
* Laminating Product
* Using hand-held tools
*
* Ability to work on own initiative with limited supervision
* Produce products with a high degree of accuracy
* Interpret scheduled documentation
* Adhere and promote your awareness to all health & safety rules
Required Experience and Qualifications
* Experience of working with wood and wood manufacturing is an advantage
* Joinery experience
* Level 2 or above qualification in bench joinery or similar
* CNC operating experience preferred but not essential
* Ability to use woodworking machinery including saws, drills, routers and planers
* Good communication ( written and verbal)
* Working within a continuous improvement environment
* Problem solving and creativity
* Working to high quality and compliance
* Flexibility
