Come and join our Refugee Support and Restoring Family Links team A day in the life of a Project Officer will involve: As part of the Refugee Support and Restoring Family Links team, the Young Refugee Project Officer will be responsible for leading the London Young Refugee Service Casework delivery. Supervising, coordinating and delivering casework services for refugee and asylum seeking young people in the London area and undertaking a range of duties designed to develop, maintain, promote the service. Working closely with the Young Refugee Service Manager the you will be integral in improving service delivery & access to services for young people, supporting development and expansion of young refugee casework in London, building networks and partnerships with relevant stakeholders and identifying new casework trends and patterns amongst young refugees. To be a successful Project Officer, You’ll need: You have experience of supporting or working with young people You understand issues relating to asylum seekers and refugees, including young asylum seekers and refugees You're a team player and a great communicator; communicating effectively in group settings with the ability to adapt your style to suit your audience. You're able to support, manage and develop volunteers (previous experience of managing volunteers would be an advantage). Knowledge and understanding of the roles, functions and purpose of statutory and non-statutory agencies in the field of refugees. Knowledge of current policy and legislative developments in the asylum and Immigration field. You're organised; you have great time management skills and are able to plan, prioritise and monitor your own and others’ workload Closing date for applications is 23:59 hrs on Monday 10th February.
