About the Role
We are looking for an outstanding Computer Science Teacher to join our team. You will be passionate about your subject with the ability to plan and deliver high-quality lessons that engage, motivate, and challenge students of all abilities up to A Level. We welcome those with creative, innovative, and enriching ideas which will motivate and inspire our young learners.
You will be an outstanding, inspirational, and resilient practitioner, willing to adapt quickly to a new and vibrant culture and build strong and positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. You will possess a university degree, a recognised teaching qualification, and at least two years of teaching experience. Committed and creative, you will be reflective on your own teaching and student outcomes, seeking out and implementing new ideas and innovative methods to raise the school’s level of achievement.
As a teacher of computer science, you will be a confident, compelling, and innovative classroom practitioner, able to use strong knowledge, modelling, and explanation to develop mastery of computer science and business. Working across Key Stage 3, IGCSE, and possibly A Level classes, your love of learning and enthusiasm for your subject will be inspirational to students in your classes, and your high expectations will help to set the foundations for their academic success.
Candidates able to offer a second subject to IGCSE (e.g., Business Studies) would be at a distinct advantage.
Keen to collaborate and share your specialist expertise, you will be a fitting ambassador for the school. You will communicate with confidence across diverse audiences and situations, using your expertise to build strong relationships with parents and students. You will also be able to meet visa-related restrictions for Yangon, Myanmar, including holding a bachelor’s degree and teaching certificate relevant to this post.
