Langley is on the lookout for a dynamic and passionate Head of Construction Skills and Training to lead and evolve our skills and training strategy. If you have a strong background in training within the construction sector and a desire to make a tangible social impact, this could be your next big move.
What You’ll Be Doing:
As Head of Construction Skills and Training, you’ll be at the forefront of shaping our national training offering, helping us deliver accredited qualifications in Roofing, Construction, and Retrofit markets. You’ll work closely with our director to align our training initiatives with social value, client needs, and emerging industry trends.
Key responsibilities include:
Developing and implementing our Skills & Training Strategy.
Leading the curriculum plan to ensure it aligns to regional and national industry skill needs.
Support and capitalise on national tenders and partnerships for funding and curriculum growth.
Driving quality assurance and performance management indicators through Self-Assessment, and continuous improvement practices.
Leading the training team to deliver high-quality, impactful learning experiencesto meet employer needs.
Contributing to training delivery which could include apprenticeship and NVQ delivery across the breadth of the Construction portfolio.
Managing our training infrastructure and associated operations.
Keeping ahead of industry trends and embedding innovation into our offer.
Who We're Looking For:
You're an experienced professional with a deep understanding of training in the construction industry, ideally with experience in curriculum development, funding frameworks (ESFA, Ofsted), and delivering or overseeing accredited qualifications. You’re someone who thrives on building teams, driving quality, and using training as a tool for social impact.
Skills & Experience:
* Proven background in construction training delivery and leadership
* Understanding of Ofsted, ESFA frameworks, and industry standards
* Strong strategic thinking and partnership management skills
* Passion for social value, quality education, and industry competency
