Job Description
1. Assist in the preparation of food and snacks
2. Keep the kitchen and restaurant areas in a clean and tidy state at all times
3. Provide a friendly, efficient, and hygienic service to all customers
4. Cooperate with all catering staff and undertake such duties in the kitchen/service areas as requested to ensure an efficient and effective service is delivered
5. Attend training courses and team meetings as required
6. Undertake any reasonable request made by your manager
7. Lay out service counters and dining rooms as required for service
8. Serve all food with the correct tools and present it well
9. Prepare and deliver coffee and hospitality trays when required
10. Prepare hot and iced beverage drinks, including hot chocolate and teas
11. Seek appropriate/necessary knowledge of all food items sold throughout catering areas
12. Keep the dining areas and service counters clean and fully stocked
13. Assist in stocktaking as required
14. Accurately handle cash sales as and when required
15. Take an active role in promoting sales to customers when working front of house
16. Operate all heavy equipment according to manufacturers’ instructions (adhering to age restrictions with the operation of dangerous equipment)
17. Clean and wash up all equipment, kitchen, and service areas in accordance with cleaning schedules
18. Read Health and Safety and Food Hygiene regulations and notices regularly and follow all procedures accordingly
19. Have an understanding of and follow the Company's quality system and procedures
20. Be aware of COSHH regulations and use appropriate protective equipment when using chemicals
21. Adhere to any rotas/schedules laid down by Location Management
22. Report any present/prospective problems/hazards to the Location Manager as soon as possible
Qualifications
1. GCSE education or above
2. Analytical and problem-solving skills as well as strategic thinking
3. Sound judgement and confidence in making decisions
4. Excellent communicator at all levels
