Based in the heart of St Albans town centre, this is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about Business and St Albans.
You will work closely with the Marketing and Communications manager delivering strategy to lead engaging events while maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders and businesses across St Albans.
The successful applicant will work 30 hours per week, which will include occasional weekends and evenings.
This role will suit a candidate with a strong events and project management background and excellent communication and relationship-building skills. You will have led your own events and managed budgets previously.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for the development, management, and delivery of the Events and Campaigns
2. Improving Business Liaison and Engagement, increasing the success and attendance of the Business Forums and Networking Events
3. Supporting the delivery of communication and marketing activities
4. Working with other team members to support project development and communications across project streams
5. Collaborating with key stakeholders and partners to ensure a synergy of events, communications & branding
6. Production of an annual Events and Campaigns plan with KPIs
7. Assisting with digital platforms on a day-to-day basis, including websites and social media
8. Exploring new events, initiatives, and ways of working with stakeholders and partners that demonstrate innovation
9. Working within set budget parameters
What the client is looking for:
1. At least three years’ experience of planning, managing, and delivering large-scale and/or creative events
2. Educated to degree level or equivalent (or able to evidence extensive experience of delivery)
3. Experience of working in marketing and communications
4. Experience of working with a wide range of organisations and stakeholders
5. Experience of managing and implementing a range of projects
6. Experience of managing budgets
7. Excellent people and relationship skills
8. Ability to work independently with initiative
9. IT skills, including use of Microsoft Office (e.g., Excel, Teams, etc.)
