Teaching Assistant in Blackpool, Lancashire A primary school in Blackpool, Lancashire is seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their dynamic team from April 21 st. The ideal candidate will have previous experience supporting pupils with special educational needs (SEN), specifically with autism spectrum conditions (ASC), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. This full-time position will involve providing support in mainstream classes and the KS1 and KS2 SEND units within the school. Key Responsibilities Provide one-on-one support to pupils with SEN, ensuring their individual needs are met. Assist in the planning and delivery of lessons in collaboration with the class teacher. Encourage and support the social and emotional development of pupils. Work closely with the SENCO and other staff members to ensure the inclusion of pupils with SEN in all aspects of school life. Requirements Experience working with children in an educational setting is essential for this role. Previous experience supporting pupils with SEN is highly desirable. Ability to build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and staff members. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
