We're looking for a highly skilled Solution Architect who has a background in airline retailing and integration to join our Enterprise Architecture and Strategy team. This role will be accountable for the successful delivery of complex solution architectures as well as helping drive them toward the enterprise technology strategy and the roadmap.
Day to day
Some of your key responsibilities as our Solution Architect will be:
* Working closely with the Enterprise domain architects to ensure business outcomes are achieved, as well as feeding back into the overall Enterprise Architecture to ensure progress towards the target state.
* Providing complex solution designs in line with domain and enterprise architectures – primarily focused on airline retailing (Offer / Order, IATA One Order, Digital and NDC).
* Contribute to the delivery of the NDC distribution strategy and roadmap aiming at improving customers’ booking experience and increasing revenues. The ideal candidate will be responsible for defining business requirements and assessing impacts to existing business processes and systems and is the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the NDC end-to-end flows.
* Reviewing existing technical capabilities, promoting reuse, or identifying new capabilities.
* Contributing to both technical architectures to ensure feedback from implemented architectures and also the continued development of technical strategies and reference architectures.
* Contribute to the development of Technical Strategies and Reference Architectures.
* Managing total risk and cost of the IT Estate across the business.
About you
In addition to the above, we are looking for our successful candidate to demonstrate the following:
* Previous experience and knowledge on Offer / Order, IATA One Order, and NDC is advantageous. Including knowledge on ARC/BSP settlement and payments.
* Understanding and experience of PSS / GDS systems, and PNR / ticketing processes.
* Understanding and experience working with EDIFACT messaging.
* Understanding of Digital integration and customer facing technology stacks.
* Experience of working with complex APIs (both SOAP and Restful) is essential.
* Previous experience working in architecture roles (e.g., Solution, Domain or Enterprise).
* Knowledge of modern architectures, utilizing cloud capabilities and loosely coupled architectures.
* Knowledge of implementing SaaS and Cloud native solutions.
* Travel or Airline knowledge would be advantageous.
