The role of the Management Accountant is an integral position within the finance department. The key function of this role is to analyse financial information and implement effective strategies to enhance overall business performance. Combining both accounting and management skills, this person will have overall accountability for preparing, developing and applying findings from financial reports. Responsibilities include maintaining financial policies and management information systems, alongside establishing effective communication channels to inform management on all aspects of company finance. Your main responsibilities will be: Prepare monthly management accounts Posting of month end and year end journals Produce financial statements including P&L accounts, cash flows, variance analysis and commentaries Bank Reconciliation’s Prepare monthly reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts Fixed asset and IFRS 16 lease management Assessment of monthly overheads Produce quarterly VAT returns Contribute to annual budgeting and planning process Calculation of customer rebates Billing/Invoicing customer Support with yearly audit What we look for: Partially/fully qualified accountant (CIMA/ACA/ACCA) Previous experience in management accounts Use of SAGE 200 and NetSuite Exceptional interpersonal skills and able to successfully communicate with people at all levels, both financial and non-financial Accuracy and an eye for detail Good stakeholder engagement experience Experience working within a fast-paced environment What will you receive? 25 days annual leave – plus bank holidays.
