My client has an opportunity for an Electrically biased experienced Engineer to join our dynamic Team. The successful candidate will work as part of a team working full time, onsite, to provide skilled support in matters relating to premises maintenance and machinery repair.

Responsibilities:
1. Ensuring plant equipment is operated and functioning in the correct manner.
2. Maintaining equipment on a daily basis to ensure it is fit for its intended purpose.
3. Ensuring appropriate housekeeping standards are maintained on a daily basis.
4. Continually developing to improve operations to drive improvements in quality, cost, and safety.
5. Assisting production with machinery problems and setups, providing relevant training when appropriate.
6. Fault finding and diagnostics.
7. Following a PPM schedule and recording follow-up work.
Qualifications:
1. A BTEC/C&G in electrical/mechanical engineering or equivalent qualification.
2. An appropriate post-apprenticeship in food manufacturing or work experience in a food manufacturing environment would be of benefit.
3. Appropriate work experience in a similar role is essential.
4. Competent at working with electricity and conducting electrical work in a safe manner.
5. Experience problem-solving and troubleshooting electrical issues.
6. Having 18th Edition training would be an advantage.
7. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan workloads effectively to meet deadlines.
8. Ability to solve engineering problems and make sound decisions to resolve issues.
9. Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
10. Attention to detail, commitment and the ability to accept responsibility are key in this role.
