Bookkeeper
Our client operates in the horticultural sector, offering high-quality products and services. With a busy office and a growing retail and online presence, they seek an organised and proactive Bookkeeper to join their team.
The Role
We are looking for a Bookkeeper for an office-based role (Monday to Friday). Duties include managing financial transactions, bank accounts, and bookkeeping responsibilities. Sage experience is essential, and experience in the horticultural or agricultural sector is beneficial.
Main Responsibilities
* Bookkeeping & Financial Management:
o Managing bank accounts, cash payments, and reconciliations.
o Processing invoices, payments, and maintaining financial records.
o Preparing VAT returns and month-end reporting.
o Supporting payroll processing and liaising with external accountants.
* Reception & Customer Service:
o Answering calls, handling enquiries, and greeting visitors.
o Managing correspondence, emails, and customer queries.
* General Sales Administration:
o Processing orders and maintaining sales records.
o Assisting with customer enquiries and supporting sales tasks.
Required
* Proven experience in bookkeeping, financial administration, or sales admin.
* Proficiency in Sage.
* Experience in the horticultural or agricultural sector.
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Comfortable managing financial transactions and accounts.
* Friendly, professional, and efficient in a busy environment.
* Strong communication and customer service skills.
