Senseco Systems are a leading provider of fire safety solutions, specialising in the design, installation, and maintenance of smoke control systems for commercial and residential buildings. We are seeking an experienced and proactive Smoke Control System Service Engineer to join our growing team and contribute to maintaining the highest safety standards in building environments. Key Responsibilities: Perform regular maintenance, inspection, and servicing of smoke control systems, including mechanical, natural, and powered ventilation systems. Diagnose faults and repair smoke control systems to ensure compliance with fire safety regulations and optimal system performance. Conduct system testing and commissioning following installations, ensuring that all components are fully functional and meet legal standards. Provide detailed service reports and communicate findings and recommendations to clients. Respond to emergency call-outs for system faults and breakdowns, offering timely and effective solutions. Liaise with clients and building managers to offer technical advice and ensure their understanding of system operation and maintenance. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, safety codes, and emerging technologies. Travel to client sites as required, sometimes at short notice, to perform urgent repairs or maintenance. Qualifications & Skills: Proven experience as a service engineer, ideally within the smoke control, fire safety, or building services industry. Strong understanding of smoke control systems, including natural ventilation, mechanical extract, and pressurization systems. Familiarity with relevant fire safety standards and building regulations (BS EN 12101, BS 9999, BS 7346). Excellent fault-finding and troubleshooting skills with a hands-on approach. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a wider team. Strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting and client interaction.
