As Senior Philanthropy Manager, you will:
1. Major Gifts Strategy & Programme Development – Lead and implement a major gifts programme to secure and grow income from high-value donors, trusts, and philanthropic partners.
2. Donor Cultivation & Relationship Management – Identify, cultivate, and steward relationships with major donors to build long-term partnerships and secure transformational funding.
3. Leadership & Team Management – Lead and develop a high-performing team, ensuring successful donor engagement through all stages of the donor pipeline.
4. Proposal Development & Impact Reporting – Collaborate with internal teams to create tailored funding proposals and impact reports that inspire donor engagement and demonstrate the impact of their contributions.
5. High-Profile Engagement & Representation – Represent PDSA at high-profile donor events and networking opportunities to enhance visibility, strengthen relationships, and increase philanthropic support.
6. Performance Monitoring & Compliance – Analyse and report on major gift activities, ensuring compliance with fundraising regulations while continuously refining strategies to maximize impact.
We’re seeking someone with:
1. Proven Experience in Major Gift Fundraising & Philanthropy – Demonstrated success in securing high-value gifts and building long-term donor relationships.
2. Exceptional Relationship Management & Negotiation Skills – Ability to engage, influence, and steward major donors and philanthropic partners effectively.
3. Expertise in Donor Proposals & Impact Reports – Strong writing skills to craft compelling, evidence-based proposals that align with donor interests and organizational priorities.
4. Outstanding Communication & Presentation Skills – Confidence in engaging high-net-worth individuals, presenting at donor events, and delivering persuasive pitches.
5. Analytical & Strategic Thinking – Ability to assess fundraising performance, interpret donor trends, and refine strategies for sustainable growth.
6. Charity Sector & CRM System Knowledge (Desirable) – Familiarity with donor management systems (e.g., CRM software), fundraising regulations, and best practices in philanthropic giving.
