Job Description
The primary objective of the role is to support the Business Managers and provide direction, mentoring and support to a team of approximately 15 Support Workers, Domestic Assistants and Nurses. The role is part time, Monday to Friday with working hours varying between 8:00am to 5:00pm. The Team Leader role delivers scheduled services out in the Community, across the Northside of Brisbane, and has scheduled administration time to carry out the Team Leader duties.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Coaching and mentoring a small team of varied employees.
2. Chairing monthly team meetings including minute taking and agendas.
3. Coordinate daily check ins with the team to connect and support.
4. Providing support for buddy shifts and orientation for new team members.
5. On site work observations to ensure consistency and quality in service delivery.
6. Assist with annual performance reviews including consumer phone reviews.
7. Participating in regular Team Leader meetings.
Desired Skills and Experience
The successful candidate must have:
1. Certificate III in Individual Support Aged Care or Disabilities; OR a nursing qualification, with a minimum of 3 years in the industry.
2. Commitment to ongoing learning and development.
3. Intermediate PC skills including data capture, writing documentation, ability to use smart phones and tablets.
4. Current Driver’s licence and own vehicle.
