Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Transformation Project Manager to join the Community Diagnostic Centre Programme at UHNM, working to ensure full development and delivery of the Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) in Stoke-on-Trent. This fixed term post until 31st March 2026, is an exciting potential secondment opportunity for an individual to further their project management and leadership skills and experience whilst working with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. This role will be extremely varied as the programme progresses with no two days the same.Leadership of the operational planning and mobilisation is a main focus for this role. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills will be important for your engagement with multidisciplinary teams across the clinical diagnostic services and other non-clinical supporting services to ensure operational readiness and mobilisation for opening of the CDC in March 2026. This is a large and complex programme and providing the necessary levels of assurance to senior programme leads regarding delivery of all aspects of the programme with effective risk management is a key priority. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to support or lead smaller projects within the wider programme to deliver transformational change, whilst working with clinical leads to ensure the most effective and efficient delivery of diagnostic services within the CDC setting. Main duties of the job The Transformation Project Manager will support the Senior Programme Manager in the full development and delivery of the Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) in Stoke-on-Trent. The post-holder will ensure the efficient delivery of the administration and operations of the CDC Programme. They are responsible for ensuring the regular review and updating of the programme plan, providing direction to other programme team members to ensure effective processes are in place to track, and report on overall programme delivery in line with the plan with escalation of delays or emerging risks. Overseeing multiple areas of work, the post holder will work alongside programme leads to monitor progress and to track delivery of workstream objectives to ensure delivery within required timescales. The post-holder will have specific responsibility for the leadership of the operational planning and mobilisation of the CDC with regular reporting of operational readiness to the senior colleagues. The post-holder will be responsible for tracking and monitoring performance of interim CDC clinical activity in line with agreed NHSE trajectories and reporting performance to the senior programme management.The post holder will support an assigned portfolio of transformationprojects within the programme.
