Date: 6 Dec 2024 Location: Leicester, GB, LE19 1DX Company: Taylor Wimpey Make a Home at Taylor Wimpey Job summary/Purpose To ensure effective, efficient and accurate processing of financial transactions by assisting the Management Accountant in line with the Finance Manual and Operating Framework. To also maintain and keep up to date the Accounts Payable Ledgers in order to pay the suppliers and subcontractors within the agreed payment terms. Primary Responsibilities Input invoices onto the purchase ledger Liaise with all departments to ensure that all invoices are dealt with in line with audit requirements and within a reasonable time scale. Ensure that invoices have the appropriate authorisation prior to paying them Manage purchase ledger queries from suppliers and staff in a professional and timely manner. Liaise with sales to make sure the completion statements are accurate and issued to customers in a timely fashion. Prepare and Process month end journals Prepare Production of daily cash flow forecast for Treasury Raise invoices, manage cash collection & maintain the Receivables Leger Monthly balance sheet reconciliations Assist in the preparation of tax packs Support the Finance Manager and Finance Director by assisting in the preparation of financial information in an efficient and timely manner Provide holiday cover within the department as required. Experience, Qualifications, Technical Requirements Previous experience working in an accounts department preferably in a purchase ledger Working knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel. Experience of working with an ERP system Computer proficiency. Working in a time-critical environment.
