About the role:
We’re seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our dynamic team! As a key figure in the classroom, you’ll be working across Key Stage 1 and 2, supporting the lead teacher with planning and delivering lessons, providing small group interventions, and occasionally leading the class. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on greater responsibility and use your skills to make a tangible difference in students’ learning experiences. You will be instrumental in helping children reach their full potential, with the flexibility to adapt lessons to meet individual needs. Whether it’s supporting with phonics, helping with creative projects, or providing 1:1 support for SEN pupils, your role will be varied, impactful, and deeply rewarding.
Application Requirements:
• Qualified HLTA status or relevant qualifications.
• Previous experience in a similar role, ideally in Key Stage 1 and 2.
• Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum.
• A positive, proactive attitude and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons.
• Lead small group interventions and booster sessions in core subjects.
• Provide 1:1 support for students with special educational needs.
• Take full class responsibility during teacher absences.
• Help create a stimulating, inclusive learning environment for all students.
