Qualifications
Essential criteria:
* CCAB qualified (Consultative Committee of Accountancy Bodies)
* Evidence of continued professional development
Desirable criteria:
* Educated to Degree level or equivalent
* Masters or equivalent qualification
Knowledge/Experience
Essential criteria:
* Significant, substantial and extensive experience of operating at a strategic or corporate level in a complex organisational environment, preferably NHS
* Experience of leading and being responsible for delivering budget setting process (including planning, monitoring, finalisation and Board approval) within a similar organisation
* Experience of leading, managing and developing teams
* Experience of advising and working in tandem with senior managers, clinicians and directors of an NHS organisation
* Experience of presenting complex technical information to large groups of non-finance professionals and multi-disciplinary teams
Desirable criteria:
* Expert knowledge of the NHS financial regime and its application to an NHS Trust
* Expert knowledge of performance reporting and performance management
* Expert knowledge of financial and accounting procedures and legislation
* Experience of working with Executive teams and boards
Skills
Essential criteria:
* Able to demonstrate strong influencing and negotiation skills
* Strong IT skills with the ability to apply this to the development of highly complex financial models
* Evidence of leadership and motivational skills
* Ability to handle complex budgets and manage change
Communication and Relationship
Essential criteria:
* Able to build relationships of trust with external and internal stakeholders
Planning & Organisational Skills
Essential criteria:
* Able to project plan in a coherent way

Please note that new starters with KGH are subject to a six-month probationary period.
