The role involves planning, delivering, and assessing engaging lessons tailored to the needs of Year 2 pupils, ensuring their continued progress and enthusiasm for learning. Key Responsibilities of a KS1 Teacher: Plan and deliver creative and engaging lessons aligned with the National Curriculum and school’s vision. Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages Year 2 pupils to thrive. Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing feedback and support to meet individual learning needs. Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive approach to teaching across KS1. Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and staff to support each child’s holistic development. Key Details for this Year 2 Teacher Role: Full-time preferred, but part-time (0.6) applications are welcome. This is a long-term temporary position starting in February, initially for three weeks, with potential to extend until Easter or become permanent. Applicants must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have experience teaching within KS1.
