The Quality Engineer will be responsible for leading all quality-related activity and ensuring compliance with internal processes and external requirements within their Integrated Project Team, sharing best practices and improvements to drive a culture of quality.
Responsibilities:
1. Identify and co-ordinate investigations arising from Quality issues through to their documented conclusion, with supporting root cause analysis and solutions to prevent re-occurrence.
2. Following audits, proactively ensure corrective and preventive actions are followed up to completion.
3. Create, collect, analyze, and maintain quality performance metrics. Report results to broader company population.
4. Interface with customer and government quality representatives regarding audits, corrective actions, acceptance testing, and other quality matters.
5. Perform analyses of quality program requirements and prepare responsive quality plans, procedures, and schedules to ensure optimum quality support and compliance.
6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that quality standards are met throughout the product lifecycle.
7. Provide guidance to team members on quality procedures and best practices.
8. Support external Quality audits, assessments, and visits by customers and authorities.
9. Ensure effective and timely issue of audit reports, supporting evidence, and KPIs for the quality/compliance function.
10. Represent quality at program meetings and reviews.
11. Report to programs on quality issues, trends, and losses.
12. Provide guidance with the preparation and certification of product release documentation.
13. Support in the generation of First Article Reports internally as well as any associated customer-facing activities for product verification.
14. Support customer or supplier Source Inspection or Delegate Product Review Verification activities.
15. Facilitate concession applications and engineering change requests.
16. Participate in Engineering Design Project reviews and auditing these projects to ensure compliance with internal QMS requirements.
17. Participate in Contract Reviews and New Business Proposal launches.
18. Encourage development and improvement in our business processes and promote a culture of quality awareness.
19. Develop and support a business improvement culture and associated activities e.g., process mapping, lean, continuous improvements, etc.
