Strategic Vendor Manager Glasgow Salary: £62-£78K plus (up to 20% bonus, family healthcare & car allowance) Hybrid working, Permanent Help us create a better future, quicker The Strategic Vendor Manager will be responsible for managing Digital Transformation’s contract and vendor portfolio covering a diverse range of scope with third parties. This will include management of the strategic relationships with vendors, management of the contract portfolio as well as driving the development and maturation of the Vendor Management function. What you’ll be doing Strategic Vendor Management : Oversee the contract and vendor portfolio, ensuring alignment with Digital Transformation strategy and objectives Contract Management : Plan and manage all aspects of IT contract placement, extensions, and renewals and report on these to the senior leadership team on a regular basis Performance Monitoring : Ensure contracts clearly define SLAs/KPIS and that suppliers meet performance targets Supplier Negotiation : Develop strategies to leverage existing relationships for improved value for money Collaboration : Working closely with the Digital Transformation teams in a partnership capacity, you will understand the teams strategy and objectives and take responsibility for ensuring that they have the right contracts in place at the right time with the right suppliers to meet their objectives. Work with global teams to improve processes/communication for globally held contracts. In life contract management – provide all aspects of contract management during the lifetime of contracts including financial, risk and performance Stakeholder Management : Facilitate the end to end contract placement and renewals process with the cross functional team including Procurement, Legal, Cyber and Data Protection VMO maturity: identify and drive implementation of improvements in the end to end processes from requirements to on-boarding to payment What you’ll bring Experience in IT vendor management for high value, preferably global, contracts Extensive knowledge of negotiation processes and strategies, with significant prior Demonstrable experience of continuous improvement experience in a procurement and/or financial environment. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential, including strong influencing skills. This role is focused on relationship management with third party suppliers and internal IT staff. Experience of working as part of a global team, across multiple cultures (beneficial) Good analytical skills with a strong focus on detail.
