Role: Construction Director Designate
Salary: £75,000 per annum plus package
Location: Rotherham
Working Hours: 8am - 5pm Monday to Thursday, 8am - 4pm Friday with additional hours required as and when business volumes demand.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a Construction Director Designate, preferably who is working within the water and waste sector for a specialised contractor/subcontractor and they see themselves as wanting to take the next step to becoming a director and running the construction side of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
1. To take full responsibility of the department to deliver projects, safely, on time, in full and ahead of budget.
2. To manage as a project manager (PM).
3. To develop an efficient, safe and effective team.
4. To ensure Company Safety and Quality Objectives are adhered to at all times.
5. To support the construction teams to work in accordance with approved documents.
6. To ensure good communication skills are developed by the teams, to allow them to effectively communicate with each other and deliver the company goals through a team effort.
7. To work closely with clients and stakeholders to achieve each other's goals.
8. To help develop the individuals in the team to have the correct skills necessary to effectively meet the needs of the client and allow them to carry out their duties and responsibilities with total clarity and understanding.
9. To deliver profitable projects, Maintain/promote good work practices.
10. Take responsibility for all site vehicles, plant and equipment.
11. Provide direction and leadership to associates and assist where required.
12. Create and develop a highly motivated team, Work within all company processes, policies and procedures.
13. Perform any other duties as assigned.
Main Duties:
1. To manage projects and site crews, from ordering plant and materials, to van hire and crew management.
2. To manage and develop a management team to deliver projects.
3. To prepare and achieve approval of all RAMS and quality documentation with the client.
4. To liaise with clients and meet client requirements.
5. To report and manage financial budgets.
6. To recruit and manage office and site employees.
7. To plan and programme works.
8. Liaise with design departments to ensure construction drawings are relevant.
9. To manage formwork.
10. To establish suppliers to projects.
The successful candidate:
1. Experience of working in specialist construction companies managing and taking full responsibility as duties above.
2. CPCS and other construction related training and achievements.
3. Prioritization skills.
4. Knowledge and ability to create RAMS and safe systems of work, following guidelines in a construction environment.
5. Managing site construction personnel/teams.
6. Attention to detail.
7. Good problem-solving skills.
8. Leadership skills.
9. Communication skills at all levels, colleagues, customers, suppliers, consultants and site teams.
10. Excel and Word computer skills to a good business level. Microsoft Project preferred.
