Job summary We are looking for a job-share / part-time service lead for paediatric therapies working 22.5 hours per week. This is permanent role, however, applications would be welcomed from applicants looking for a development role on a secondment or fixed term basis. The team includes occupational therapy, physiotherapy and specialist play service working jointly with speech and language therapy, community paediatricians, child development centre teams, equipment services, orthotics and early years services to offer community OT and physiotherapy intervention across Worcestershire. This is a dynamic and innovative team with a highly child centred approach to their intervention working in partnership with families and young people to offer high quality care. The service is implementing the Balanced System and has reviewed its caseload to be able to prioritise care to the right children at the right time. This is an exciting time of potential change and development for the service strong leadership is needed to make this process smooth. You will need to have HCPC registration as either a physio or OT. You would need to be prepared to work at all of the bases covered by the team as needed. The work base can be discussed at interview. There is an option for some home working as appropriate. You will have support from team leaders and clinical leads within the team, the clinical services manager (job share partner) and senior management team. Main duties of the job You will work in partnership with your job share partner to provide leadership for the paediatric therapies team. Line managing the team leaders and clinical leads; offering clinical and managerial oversight to the therapy teams; leading the team through a period of change and transformation. Maintaining best practice and quality for the children and young people accessing the services. Supporting staff and working towards staff wellbeing. Maintaining policies and procedures for the teams within trust standards. Acting as an advocate for the service. You will ensure all Trust initiatives are interpreted and applied to the service and clinical quality of the offer is maintained through a robust review and audit process. Engaging with transformation and change projects, you will keep the needs of the client group central to all decision making. You will contribute to senior management meetings as required and lead service level meetings and be responsible for the governance of the service and the quality of practice, such as clinical record keeping and safeguarding. You will hold an overview of the recruitment and workforce development for the service. You will collaborate closely with the clinical services manager, commissioners and transformation partners to ensure the integrity and quality of the offer to children and young people is maintained.
