This is a unique opportunity for a compassionate and skilled Registered Veterinary Nurse in a lead role. You will be required to head a dedicated team to providing exceptional care to animals in need. This rewarding role combines clinical expertise with leadership, empowering a talented nursing team to deliver outstanding veterinary care and community support.
Role Overview
The Nursing Team Leader will:
1. Oversee a team of up to 10 Veterinary Nurses and Veterinary Care Assistants.
2. Ensure efficient delivery of services, including theatre support, inpatient care, and client consultations.
3. Manage the hygiene, maintenance, and operational flow of the hospital environment.
4. Promote preventive pet care and well-being through education and outreach services.
5. Deputise for the Head Nurse when needed, ensuring seamless continuity of care.
6. Split time between clinical duties (approximately 80%) and management responsibilities (20%).
Key Responsibilities
1. Leading by example in clinical care, including inpatient support, theatre work, and consultations.
2. Encouraging and supporting the professional development of team members.
3. Embedding preventive healthcare practices and education within the team and wider community.
4. Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety across the practice.
5. Managing rota schedules, fostering teamwork, and ensuring excellent client service.
