Prospero Teaching currently have multiple mentoring positions open across Hampshire. These roles offer a chance to make a significant difference in the lives of young people with varied needs and learning objectives. As a Mentor, you will: Plan, prepare, and deliver tailored mentoring sessions to suit the needs of particular children. Base activities around what individuals enjoy and what they are interested in, so that they are positively engaging with a trusted, professional adult. Activities can include: baking, art projects, going out into the community safely, going for walks, finding a park they like, museum/ history trips, science projects etc. Mentoring may assist with SEMH needs or have a general goal of getting the child to engage positively/ feel more positively about their education. Record student progress and report on this weekly. Be understanding, empathetic and patient.
