Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a Reservation Sales and Ticketing Agent role in a Travel Arrangements company headquartered in London. It is a worldwide GSA and tourist marketing company representing airlines, destinations, inns, airports, vehicles, trains, cruise, and other trade promotions, and offers professional passenger GSA solutions. We are looking to recruit an experienced Mandarin-speaking Reservation Sales & Ticketing Agent.
Job Requirements:
* High school diploma and a diploma from a travel institution.
* Proficiency in written and spoken English.
* Strong numerical skills.
* Fluency in Mandarin—essential in speaking, reading, and writing.
* Must prioritize customer satisfaction, possess a polished appearance, and articulate speech.
* Effective time management and organizational abilities.
* Maintains professionalism even in high-pressure situations.
* Exhibits outstanding attention to detail.
* Shows flexibility in tasks and responsibilities.
* At least two years of experience in airline reservations and ticketing.
* Proficiency in reservations, fares, and e-ticketing using Amadeus.
* Familiarity with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
* Capability to perform well under pressure. Outstanding telephone etiquette.
* Ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
Responsibilities
* Handling reservation calls from both individual passengers and trade partners.
* Creating airline bookings, making changes, adding ancillary services, etc., and issuing or reissuing tickets/EMDs using both automated and manual fare-building methods.
* Managing the processing of invoices and payments for airline tickets, ensuring compliance with strict airline and company reporting standards.
* Preparing daily and monthly reports on airline sales and conducting reconciliation.
* Delivering exceptional customer service over the phone and in person.
* Addressing various ticket-related issues such as reissues, upgrades, reroutes, and lost tickets, both via phone and face-to-face interactions.
* Managing group bookings and allocations for tour operators, including the issuance of contractual terms and conditions by individual airline protocols.
* Maintaining communication with local management and head office representatives of airlines.
