Role Overview: As a Specification Technologist at Branston, you will be responsible for managing all product specifications, from creation to maintenance, on both supplier and customer portals. Your ability to work cross-functionally and manage relationships with suppliers, customers, and internal teams will be key to your success. What you will be doing: Manage the creation, maintenance, and updating of all product specifications for both supplier and customer portals. Oversee artwork review and approval processes, ensuring compliance with RBF/PIR submissions. Manage FTP critical path for artwork design, ensuring timely and accurate submissions. Maintain supplier specifications in collaboration with Technical. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders at all levels within Branston, suppliers, and customers. Support and drive the NPD process, working closely with Technical, Production, and other departments. What we want from you: Essential: A-levels or higher education certificates (preferably in Food Science or a related field). A minimum of 2 years’ experience within the food industry. Experience working within the NPD process, as well as with Technical or Production departments. Strong experience with Retail specification portals and artwork approval systems. Excellent planning, organisational, and time-management skills. Proficient IT skills (including MS Excel, Word, and report writing). Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Ability to lead meetings and coordinate cross-functional teams effectively. Preferred: A degree or qualification in Manufacturing, Food Science, or Packaging. Food industry qualifications (e.g., HACCP, Food Safety)
